AFEM Members COVID-19 Hardship Fund

The Hardship Fund was established in response to the unprecedented crisis caused by COVID-19 to our industry and the unique fundraising opportunity offered through collaborating with Beatport on the first 2 Beatport ReConnect livestream events in March and April 2020.

£90,000 was raised for the fund and this money was paid out in July by our charity partner In Place Of War to members who successfully applied for hardship funding. Payments were made to 20 member company applicants to benefit 66 individual employees & industry workers who were either laid off due to the pandemic crisis, or, employees who were in danger of being laid-off without the assistance of this additional capital.

As the funds raised have now been paid out, there are no immediate plans for further funding application rounds. We will review this if new fundraising opportunities emerge.
