AFEM at ADE 2024

Amsterdam Dance Event 2024 was a milestone week for AFEM, packed with impactful sessions, collaborations, and takeaways.

Our Annual General Meeting celebrated AFEM’s growth—nearly 300 members across 40+ countries—while presenting achievements like the Respect the Creators campaign and expanding educational tools. Discussions highlighted AI accountability, new accreditation frameworks for DJs and producers, and the critical role of accurate royalty reporting for artists.

The AFEM Mixer, supported by AIM, Beatport, and others, fostered global connections with inspiring DJ sets supporting In Place of War and Last Night a DJ Saved My Life.

At the Emerging Tech Roundtable and Rights & Royalties Roundtable, experts from our working groups explored AI, blockchain, and metadata innovation to ensure fairness and sustainability across the industry. Panels on diversifying revenue streams, safer spaces, and spatial audio underlined new opportunities for artists and festival experiences.

With valuable insights shared, AFEM left ADE inspired to drive forward collaborations and technologies that amplify the electronic music community worldwide.
