AFEM, YOYAKU, SACEM, CLIP: Understanding the Life of an Electronic Music Release

AFEM is delighted to partner with YOYAKU, SACEM and CLIP for Understanding the Life of an Electronic Music Release, a special workshop taking place in Paris on Thursday 9 July 2026 at YOYAKU Record Shop.

Designed for artists, labels and music professionals, the session will trace the full lifecycle of an electronic music release, from studio creation and metadata management through to distribution, streaming, vinyl, DJ sets, rights and royalty collection.

The workshop will bring together the SACEM team, Niclas Molinder (CLIP) and moderator Jay Ahern (AFEM) for a bilingual French and English programme of practical insight, discussion and audience Q&A. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of music rights, mechanical and neighbouring rights, club performance royalties, international collections and the revenue flows that connect them.

The evening will conclude with one-to-one meetings, networking, drinks and a DJ set, creating space for meaningful exchange across the electronic music community. The event is open to the public and no RSVP is necessary.
