#ForTheMusic campaign against sexual harassment

AFEM fully supports the MeToo #ForTheMusic campaign against sexual harassment initiated by DJ Rebekah. We recommend our members sign the open letter to the electronic music industry, and we encourage you to share onwards – https://bit.ly/2HPJSATforthemusicopenletter
AFEM is committed to:
- actions that create safer/intentional environments for fans and professionals within electronic music.
- action that prevents sexual harassment and assault within our industry and will shortly publish its Code of Conduct Against Sexual Harassment & Gender Discrimination.
- advocate for a culture of support for victims of sexual assault, ensuring that they are encouraged to come forward and to be supported when they do.
We need to identify and correct the mechanisms and attitudes within our culture which enable and facilitate perpetrators of sexual abuse to go unchallenged and unreported.
We want to bring about an electronic music culture where everyone involved should feel safe, respected and free from sexual harassment and risk of assault.
AFEM stands with Rebekah #ForTheMusic.
