Positive results from the Primavera Sound event safety test

Results from the Primavera Sound event safety test which took place in Barcelona in December have been published. The findings are positive for the live events industry, showing that if the correct safely protocols are followed, indoor live events could take place without transmission of infection.

All attendees were subject to rapid COVID-19 testing on the day, mask wearing was mandatory along with cashless payments but with no social distancing requirement. All attendees were tested again the week after the event with no infections recorded.

Encouraging results to inspire promoters and influence governments to explore models for safely produced cultural events during the pandemic.
